What Is the Charge Your Yard Incentive Program?
The Charge Your Yard Utah Incentive Program is a Utah clean-air initiative led by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality, designed to help reduce emissions from gas-powered lawn and yard equipment.
The program provides incentives for businesses and residents to replace gas-powered tools such as leaf blowers, trimmers, and chainsaws with electric alternatives, while responsibly recycling old equipment.
The goal is simple: improve air quality across Utah communities by transitioning to cleaner, quieter electric yard equipment.
Metro Group's Role in the Charge Your Yard Program
Metro Group is proud to be a participating recycling partner in the Charge Your Yard program.
We currently support the program across four Metro Group Yard locations, helping businesses properly recycle gas-powered equipment as they upgrade to electric tools.
Our role includes:
- Accepting eligible yard equipment for recycling
- Ensuring materials are responsibly processed
- Supporting Utah businesses during the equipment transition
By participating, Metro Group helps keep old equipment out of landfills while supporting state-wide clean-air efforts.
